The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) plans to start the assembly of its cars at the Chirchik technopark in Uzbekistan. Reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the technopark.
“Representatives of UAZ have announced their intention to start assembling cars in Uzbekistan and are considering establishing a technopark for it,” the press service said in a statement.
The delegation of the Russian automobile factory received information about the activities of the technopark and the possibilities of its inhabitants. It was not reported when the production of UAZ vehicles could begin at the technopark site and which models are planned to be assembled.
In September 2023, the UAZ delegation plans to visit Ghana. During the visit, the authorities plan to learn about the production process and start working on a project to organize the local assembly of cars in the African Republic. In July of this year, a company from Ghana is ready to buy 300 pickups from it, after negotiations with UAZ. The country plans to buy them before the end of the year.
