Cutting the Solid -State Drives (SSD) from a computer can cause data loss and problems related to the performance of the device. About it reports Portal Tom’s hardware.
HTWINGNUT blogger carried out an experiment by installing 100 GB of data to four SSD L’Avn JS-600 with TLC memory, and then closed them from the system. The experiment started two years ago. In addition, two of the four drivers had a significant abrasion of 280 TB with a 60 TB source. Control amounts were used to check the security of the files.
According to the results of the first year of the storage of the device, they showed positive results, including “worn” drivers. However, during the second year, an increase in data validation and the increase in the number of blocks restored through ECC function began to be observed. In the old SSDs, the failure sectors, a deterioration of data transfer rate and imbalance in work was detected.
The results of the experiment have shown that even new SSDs with long -term storage without power showed the risk of data loss. Experts recommend that you get these restrictions and select optimum storage methods depending on tasks. When creating archives, it is recommended to follow verified solutions to reduce potential threats.
Previously presented RTX 5090 and 256 GB of RAM is a powerful and expensive laptop.
