Developers from GSC Game World announced a large -scale update for the second quarter of 2025, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The focal point is the long-awaited tools for a significant development and modification in the A-Life System, which is responsible for the life of the game world. About it reports DTF broadcast.
Key innovation will be the beta version of the MOD SDK, which allows players to create their own changes for Stalker 2. Developers will greatly simplify the distribution of the promising user content with the Steam Workshop and MOD.IO platform.
In addition to Moding, the GSC Game World will pay attention to the improvement of artificial intelligence and A-Living system. In the NPC-Loves update, they will be more realistic to use shelters and get a limited grenade supply, which will make the shots more tactical. Mutants will also be more convincing: they will gnaw the bodies in places and respond to threats. Another pleasant innovation will be the opportunity to collect looting from defeated monsters.
The full list of the requested changes include:
-Steam workshop and mod.io support beta-enstrimation mod SDK;
-Ahi A-Life and AI System: Smart NPCs (shelters, limited grenades), mutants gnawing on corpses, reaction to threats, loout from mutants;
– The ability to miss the compilation of shaders, to accelerate the launch of the game;
– Expanded menu of the hero’s warehouse that makes the inventory more comfortable;
– Support for ultrashiroci monitors that provide a comfortable game on modern screens;
– Two new types of weapons that expand the ammunition of the player;
– General improvements of many errors and stability.
The GSC Game World also reminded the plans to publish the local version of the original Stalker trilogy in the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox series X and S. Currently, the trilogy is available on these platforms due to reverse compatibility.
