The developers of the AnTuTu test studied the parameters of smartphones in the fourth quarter of 2024 and made Statistics on the most popular features.
In the fourth quarter, the share of devices with screens larger than 6.7 inches decreased from 46.9% to 40.6%. These are followed by smartphones with screens of 6.5 to 6.7 inches (41.1%) and devices with screens of 6.2 to 6.5 inches (9.3%). In fourth place are smartphones with screens smaller than 6.2 inches (9%).
“This not only shows that manufacturers are rethinking their smartphone screen size strategies, but also shows that there is real user demand for flagship devices with small screens. Experts note that when suitable products appear on the market, buyers are ready to buy them.
The most common resolution was 1.5K with a 42.6% share. Full HD and 2K shared the second and third places with shares of 34.6% and 16%, respectively.
Smartphones with smooth screens with a frequency of 120 Hz showed high dominance in the market (65.7%). The second place was taken by devices with a frequency of 144 Hz (23%), while the third place was taken by “outdated” screens with a frequency of 60 Hz (18.2%).
The most popular processor manufacturer was Qualcomm, whose solutions are installed in 69.7% of smartphones. MediaTek took second place with a share of 28%.
The most common smartphone launches in the fourth quarter of 2024 are 12 GB RAM (41.8%), 16 GB (38.7%) and 8 GB (13.2%), while the most common Android version is Android 15 (52.3%) happened.
