Production of the iPhone 14 at Foxconn factories will begin simultaneously in China and India. Regarding this, citing the words of analyst Ming Chi Kuo, reported 9To5Mac version.
Kuo noted that at least the base iPhone 14 will be produced in India, but he has no information about other models of the new series. In any case, if the insider information is confirmed, Apple will begin production of its latest smartphone series in China and any other country for the first time.
According to the analyst, Apple is forced to take this step. Allegedly, the company fears problems with logistics in China due to the deterioration of the geopolitical situation in the world. Also, due to the lockdowns that are periodically imposed in China due to the COVID-19 outbreaks, Apple is experiencing a gap in the production of new smartphones in the required volumes. At the same time, according to Kuo, Foxconn’s capacities in India will hardly be enough to make up for Chinese devices that fall outside of their bulk plans.
9To5Mac editors also reminded that after Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, Apple warned its suppliers about unforeseen problems that could arise in case of China’s revenge.
