The author of the popular emulator EmuDeck for the portable console Steam Deck announced the development of his own console called EmuDeck Machines. In this regard reports Verge.
EmuDeck Machines is a compact Linux PC specifically configured to run games, including emulators. The device will be available in two configurations: EM1 with an Intel N97 chip and EM2 based on an AMD Ryzen 5 8600G processor. The Intel version is designed for simple retro gaming only, while the Ryzen model is equipped with integrated Radeon 760M graphics, capable of running modern AAA games.
For example, in GTA 5 EM2 demonstrates 110 FPS, in Cyberpunk 2077 – 61 FPS, and in the shooter Counter-Strike 2 – 200 FPS. Also, users will be able to connect external graphics cards (eGPUs) to increase performance and run heavy games.
EmuDeck Machines are currently available in prototype form, consisting of a Mini-ITX board and a simple case. The project has already been presented on the Indiegogo platform, where the price for the first buyers starts at $ 331 (about 30.1 thousand rubles). Deliveries are scheduled for December.
