Zarema Salikhova, wife of former Spartak Moscow owner Leonid Fedun, does not consider former red-white player Alexander Sobolev, who transferred to Zenit St. Petersburg, a traitor “Championship”.
“Alexander is not Judas, he devoted himself first of all to football. He will definitely prove it to everyone. Who is the traitor in this whole story will be revealed later,” said Salikhova.
Sobolev was removed from Spartak’s starting lineup after the first round match of the current Russian Premier League against Orenburg (0:2). According to media reports, he told head coach Dejan Stankovic that he wanted to leave. Since then, the forward has not appeared on the field.
The forward has been playing for Spartak since 2020. In total, he played in 139 matches for the team, scoring 58 goals and making 32 assists. His contract with the club lasted until the summer of 2026. In the completed season of the Russian Championship, Sobolev played 27 matches and scored five goals.
In the next match of the Russian Premier League (RPL), Zenit will play away against Paris NN. The match will be played on August 31.
