Russian studio Battlestate Games admitted that a technical glitch in the game Escape from Tarkov led to the loss of part of the game profile data. The portal reports this DTF.
The developers stated that it is impossible to restore the lost information in the shortest possible time. Affected players were promised “proportionate in-game compensation.” It was not specified what exactly users will receive.
Battlestate Games also stressed that the glitch does not result in the loss of achievements and in-game statistics.
Some players are known to be experiencing issues accessing the game – when they try to open the Escape from Tarkov client, they receive the following message: “The game cannot be launched. Please try again later”.
Additionally, one of the affected players posted a screenshot of their profile stats, which shows that all progress in the game has been reset.
