Presentation sheets with information about a prototype of a Russian game console based on the Elbrus-2S3 microprocessor have been published online. Images It was published “Sad Cyberpunk” on the Telegram channel.
Judging by the images, the console will be a minicomputer based on the Elbrus-2S3 microprocessor from the Russian company MCST. Some information on the presentation pages is hidden. However, the documents state that games such as Doom 3, GTA 3, GTA Vice City, GTA LCS, Quake 3, Serious Sam, CS:GO, TES 3: Morrowind, STALKER and others have already been ported to the Elbrus platform. Apparently, these are mostly games from ten years ago.
The document also states that the original Russian Elbrus-2S3 microprocessor consists of two high-performance cores of the 6th generation Elbrus architecture. It allows x86 applications for Linux and Windows, including games.
The Mini PC is recommended to be used as a game console, media center, video conferencing device, banking terminals and other purposes.
“These photos were sent to us by our comrades in the electronics market. The materials were shown at one of the meetings of the relevant department,” the channel’s author signed the publication.
The release of the console based on the Elbrus-2S3 microprocessor is scheduled for 2028. The cost of the device has not yet been disclosed.
