Adobe has announced a significant expansion of functionality for its flagship products, Illustrator and Photoshop. With the introduction of AI-powered tools, users will have a wider range of creative options and greater control over the process. reports edition 9to5mac.
Illustrator, in particular, will feature generative vector fill, allowing artists to apply vector graphics based on text prompts. The tool will be able to use elements from one document to fill another, while maintaining full editing and zoom capabilities.
Other important innovations will include the Mockup function, which will help you visualize the final result of overlaying an illustration on a real object, and the ability to detect fonts in vector and raster images. In addition, there will be Text to Pattern and Tracing Engine tools, which will greatly simplify the creation of backgrounds and image tracing, respectively.
Photoshop will also get a number of new features that will make repetitive tasks much easier, like the Selection Brush and Adjustment Brush, plus improvements to the Text tool and contextual taskbar, and an update to the Adobe Firefly app.
As the company notes, all these innovative tools are part of Adobe’s strategy to continuously improve its applications by introducing AI technologies. However, please note that they require a connection to Adobe servers and are only available with a subscription.
