Twitter user (X) under the nickname NTDEV\_ launched Windows 11 on iPhone 15 Pro using UTM SE emulator and a custom Tiny11 Core build. The virtual configuration consisted of a single QEMU core with a clock speed of 1 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. Despite the low specs, the experiment looked interesting. Tom’s Hardware notes that emulation is not the same as virtualization. Emulation simulates a specific hardware platform, while virtualization creates virtual resources for multiple operating systems within a single virtual machine.
Screenshots of the demo show poor system performance and screen usage limitations. According to NTDEV_, the system took 20 minutes to boot, making it nearly unusable for everyday use. This may be due to the lack of optimization for the x86 architecture, similar to that used in modern Macs.
