Difficulties in producing its own Exynos 2500 chip may force Samsung to reconsider its strategy and use the MediaTek platform for future smartphones of the flagship Galaxy S25 series. In this respect reports FTN broadcast.
According to recent rumors, Samsung is considering using Dimensity SoC instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which was originally planned for its new flagship devices. The main problem is the high cost of Qualcomm’s new high-end platform, as well as difficulties with Samsung’s 3-nanometer process technology. Alternatively, Size 9400 can be used.
This will be the first time Samsung will use the MediaTek platform on its flagships. It’s also possible that it may eventually decide to go for Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 anyway.
Galaxy S25 series smartphones are expected to be announced in January 2025. Before that, Samsung will host Galaxy Unpacked in July, where it will introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, as well as the new Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Tab tablet.
Previously Samsung developed A unique mobile camera for zoom lenses.
