Users of WhatsApp messenger owned by Meta (known as an extremist and banned in Russia) now have access to a new feature that allows them to automatically send high-resolution photos and videos. Currently, the update is only available to owners of smartphones running the iOS operating system. In this respect reports WaBetaInfo (WBI) publication.
To enable this feature, you need to download the test version of Messenger with build number 23.24.73 from the AppStore. Then you need to open the application, go to the application settings and select the “Data storage” option. Then, in the “Media download quality” tab, check the box next to the default HD quality for videos and images.
Additionally, the update introduced the ability to save video statuses for up to one minute; this significantly exceeds the previous 30-second limit.
Thus, WhatsApp continues to improve its features, making them more useful and practical for users.
