In the United States, a new bill is being developed in the United States that can force leading semiconductor manufacturers such as NVIDIA, Intel and AMD to equip their products with their geographical location systems. Accordingly information Tom’s Hardware (TH) Portal is designed to allow the US government to control the location of high -tech components and, if necessary, to remotely limit the US countries under sanctions.
The venture affects a wide range of powerful equipment, including advanced video cards, server solutions and processors focusing on artificial intelligence tasks. The list of devices falling under control includes class 3A090 and 4A090 components with popular models such as GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 5090.
It is assumed that the bill will be equipped with the US Department of Commerce by the authority to verify the exported electronics. Producers will be given six months to introduce the necessary monitoring systems after the adoption of the law. Market experts express their concerns by stating that the implementation of these requirements will create significant technical difficulties especially for products already in production or previously developed.
