The Center for Biometric Technologies (CBT) explained that it currently takes approximately eight to ten minutes for approved biometrics to be recorded at a bank branch. The project proposed by the Ministry of Digital Development allows to speed up the procedure by expanding the list of applications for working with biometrics.
“The procedure involves taking a photo of the customer and recording his voice. In the scenario of verifying the biometric information previously registered in the mobile application, the customer will only need to look at the camera; There will be no need for voice recording. The entire procedure is expected to take two to three minutes,” the CBRT said.
Therefore, in addition to the application of “Biometrics of State Services”, it is also proposed to carry out biometric data verification in applications of the territorial segment of the Unified Biometric System (UBS), for example, “Moscow Metro”.
