Microsoft canceled Windows 11 update due to user complaints 16:40

Microsoft has frozen the distribution of the Windows 11 24H2 update to Windows Insiders channel members due to numerous user complaints about bugs. In this respect reports Record.

The update, which includes new features including Wi-Fi 7 support, integration of Sudo and Rust into the Windows kernel, and more, was postponed without any explanation. The release suspension is believed to be due to user complaints about serious technical issues.

Senior Windows Insider Program Manager Brandon LeBlanc stated that the team is working to maintain operations. The company also reminded that some AI functions, including the controversial Recall, require special Copilot+ hardware.

Users who managed to install the update before it was suspended experienced issues such as app freezes, slow performance, and issues with VPN services. Some even called the latest update a “disastrous test build.”
