Sony has introduced a new payment system for the PS Store in Brazil that allows users to purchase games in installments. This innovation was noticed by local gamers who started sharing screenshots online, the portal reported DTF.
Judging by the screenshots, Brazilian PS Store users now have the opportunity to split the payment for digital goods into several parts for two, three or four months without additional overpayments. The new service includes both games and in-app purchases, but does not include the PS Plus subscription.
Feedback from Brazilian players on social media and forums shows that the new feature is well received, especially considering the constant increase in the cost of games. A user of the PlayStation 5 console expressed the opinion that he could buy new AAA games more frequently thanks to the installment plan.
It is unknown whether this option will be available in other regions. So far Sony has not commented on the innovation or announced plans to expand this service outside of Brazil, where it was probably launched for testing purposes.
Previously reportedEA will shut down the servers for three Battlefield games on PlayStation and Xbox.
