Microsoft has opened access to Windows and Office updates to Russian users in order to protect the “lucrative Russian market”. This is the view in an interview with RuNews24 shared Alexey Ermakov, IT expert at the Department of Cyber ​​Sports at the Faculty of Gaming Industry and the Department of Cyber ​​Sports at the Synergy University.

According to him, the company will lose a lot of revenue if the niche in Russia is occupied by other suppliers of software products. The expert also believes that another reason may have influenced this decision.

“Microsoft has already made it clear that they will moderate content to protect choice. This means that users receive confidential information from their computers and perhaps they want to strengthen this component in their activities,” explained Ermakov.
