Automobile Technologies company, which produces Citroen C5 Aircross crossovers at the PSMA Rus plant in the Kaluga region, has registered the Rosva Motors trademark and logo. In this respect mercenary Attention Telegram channel “Autostream”.
It is not yet known why the company needs a new brand. It is assumed that the name Rosva Motors will be used for the legal entity and business, and cars will continue to be produced under the Citroen brand. However, some media organizations expect the names of the vehicles to change as well.
Today the Kaluga plant produces only one Citroen model – C5 Aircross. The manufacturer sources parts from China.
Ministry of Industry and Trade in February filled Car list for French and Chinese car authorities. The list of cars recommended for state procurement includes Citroen C5 Aircross crossovers produced by the Automotive Technologies company.
The list also includes BAIC cars of the U5 Plus, X35, X55, BJ40 Plus, X7 models, which are assembled at Avtotor in Kaliningrad. Kaiyi E5, X3 Pro, X3 and X7, SWM G05 Pro and G01 and Amberauto A5 (produced by the same factory) also appeared here. Additionally, Evolute i-Jet and Haval M6 are among those recommended for government purchases as company vehicles.
