Dr.Web analysts reported that two applications containing malicious click Trojans were discovered on Google Play. The first of these is an application for managing toys for adults, and the second is an application for monitoring QRunning’s physical activity. information about this seen on the official Dr.Web website.
In the first case, the Android.Click.414.origin click Trojan was discovered in an application positioned as a component for collecting debugging information. This malicious component can silently open advertising sites used for hidden advertising and click pages on the Internet, increase the number of clicks on links, issue paid subscriptions or perform DDoS attacks.
Additionally, the Trojan can transmit device-related data to the control server, including brand, model, operating system version, IP address, region, mobile network operator code and other parameters. Using the WebView component built into Android, the user can open websites, browse pages on the Internet, fill out forms with data, and mute sound on pages that contain audio or video, without the user noticing. It can also take screenshots of the viewed sites and transfer them to the server and determine the location of clicks on a pixel basis.
In the second case, a Trojan clicker for tracking physical activity was discovered in the QRunning app. The developers of this app have not released a corrective update yet.
A Trojan-containing version of the adult toys control app was downloaded from the official Google Play store. The developer of Love Spouse has already updated the app and version 1.8.8 no longer contains Trojans.
Previously AppearedAndroid users will be able to improve video quality with a single click.
