Samsung announced the release of the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update for its older flagship smartphones Galaxy S21 and S22, which support Galaxy AI features. In this respect reports SamMobile portal.
The official release of One UI 6.1 has now happened in South Korea for Galaxy S21 and S22 series smartphones. As the Canadian retailer, which promised an update for the Galaxy S22 on May 3, previously noted, devices in other regions will likely be updated soon as well. However, no new software has been released yet for the sub-flagship Galaxy S21 FE models.
Additionally, a limited number of Galaxy S21 series devices were given the Galaxy AI feature. At the same time, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3 and more recent smartphones offer similar functionality to the Galaxy S24. So Galaxy S21 only supports Circle to Search function for Google search. It was not stated why older flagships did not receive support for artificial intelligence functions such as real-time text translation.
Galaxy S20 and other older models will not be updated to One UI 6.1.
