The company’s founder, Claude Toussaint, emphasized that robots can recognize and respond to human emotions, making them ideal companions for older people. Robots are currently being tested in many nursing homes, where they remind residents of times when their own children were young.
The robots are equipped with artificial intelligence that allows them to joke and chat with older people, helping to create a friendly atmosphere. Vanessa Munzenmayer, director of the nursing home, noted that residents showed great interest and curiosity in the new robots, which are rapidly becoming popular among older people.
After completion of the tests, Navel Robotics plans to start mass production of the robots. The set consisting of two robots is expected to be sold at a price of 48 thousand euros (about 4.8 million rubles).
