Samsung decided to demonstrate the photographic capabilities of its flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra in an unusual way. The company attached a smartphone to a balloon and lifted it into the stratosphere; from here the new product was used to take many photographs of planet Earth. The balloon with a Samsung smartphone was lifted to an altitude of approximately 35.5 km. He then flew over California, Las Vegas, the Sierra Nevada mountain range and the Grand Canyon. Each area was photographed from extreme heights with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
In total, the Samsung flagship spent several days in the air and took more than 150 photos during this time. Various smartphone cameras were used as part of the experiment: the main camera, a telephoto lens and a lens with an ultra-wide-angle lens.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was introduced on January 24, 2024. The smartphone is equipped with four cameras. This set includes a 200-megapixel main module, 10- and 50-megapixel telephoto lenses with three- and five-fold optical zoom, respectively, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module.
