Apple equips the iPhone 17 Pro telephoto camera with a tetraprism with 10x optical zoom. In this respect reports Wccftech publication.
At the same time, the IT giant from Cupertino will also change the optical supplier of the iPhone camera. If the lenses for the iPhone 15 Pro Max are produced by LG Innotek, then the supplier for the iPhone 17 Pro will be a specific Chinese company. Rumor has it that it will be ICT, a subsidiary of Luxshare.
It was not reported for what reasons Apple removed LG Innotek from the list of partners. Wccftech thinks this could be due to the South Korean firm’s reluctance to bow to Apple on price or quality issues with LG components.
The new insider doesn’t specify when Apple plans to introduce a 10x zoom camera. However, Wccftech doubts that this will happen with the launch of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. Both the 2024 flagships are said to feature an upgraded tetraprism with five times magnification than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Previous Analyst statedIt is stated that the 2026 Apple Watch Ultra will have a 10% larger screen.
