A copy of the upcoming Russian smartphone “R-FON” has been found, which is almost identical in all respects. The “twin” of the device turned out to be the American-Chinese Nuu A25, reported Mobiltelefon chief editor Evgeniy Makarov is on the Telegram channel.
“Found out? Android smartphone from the USA for $170 with free shipping. Nuu A25,” the journalist commented on the find.
Makarov’s subscribers immediately noted the external similarity of the device with the Russian smartphone “R-FON”. This has been explained before. Thus, Symphony Helio 80, which is made in a single design like Nuu A25 and has common features with the domestic device, was discovered in Bangladesh. At that time, the main difference was in the cameras: the R-FON had a 50-megapixel sensor, while the foreign device used a 108-megapixel sensor.
American Nuu A25, on the other hand, is the same as R-FON in everything, including the camera. The main differences are the use of larger RAM in the native device – 6 GB versus 8 GB in the Nuu.
NUU mobile company, which produces the R-FON clone, is registered in Irving, Texas, USA and Hong Kong.
In October, R-FON manufacturer Rutek company had commented on the similarities between local and Bangladeshi devices.
“So the official view is that we have no information about the Bangladeshi smartphone, which has started to appear in various media. “At the same time, it is obvious that R-FON and the foreign smartphone are two completely different devices,” he said.
However, according to the manufacturer, R-FON is produced in Russia and runs on the domestic operating system ROSA Mobile. At the same time, as Rutek admitted, foreign components were used in the production of the device, since such domestic hardware does not yet exist.
“R-FON” is expected to be launched in 2024. The price of the smartphone is unknown.
