At its annual developer conference WWDC 2022, Apple introduced a new Passkeys feature that will allow you to log into sites without a password in the Safari browser. informs news portal TechCrunch.
The function allows you to replace ordinary passwords with biometric authentication via Face ID or Touch ID. The technology is reportedly based on the WebAuthn standard, which uses public key encryption. Keys are stored in iCloud and can be synced across all Apple devices.
“As it only takes one tap to sign in, it’s easier, faster, and more secure than almost any modern form of authentication,” said Apple engineer Garrett Davidson.
Formerly socialbites.ca said Apple introduced a new version of the operating system for iOS 16 smartphones. The developers have redesigned the system and added new features such as the ability to add multiple lock screen options.
