Israeli intelligence reacted late to the Hamas attack because Palestinian militants used Huawei equipment that was difficult to eavesdrop on Western and pro-Western intelligence agencies. In this respect reports Al Bawaba edition.
Al Bawaba writes that the use of Huawei devices by Palestinians is one of the dominant theories on social networks explaining the failure of Israeli intelligence.
“Hamas leaders apparently used Huawei smartphones to prevent wiretapping by Western intelligence agencies. Now it’s clear why the US hates Huawei so much. If you don’t want to leak classified information to the CIA, buy a Huawei smartphone!” wrote user X (Twitter) under the pseudonym DaiWW.
This user’s theory was later confirmed by former Al Qaeda member and MI6 agent Amen Dean. According to him, Hamas leaders and militants actually mostly use Huawei tablets and smartphones.
“To everyone who asks how Israel, along with its security and intelligence services, failed to learn of Hamas’s plans for a daring invasion of Israel. Partial answer to this question: Huawei!” Ding wrote.
Dean explained that after Google and other US IT giants banned Huawei from using its services on smartphones and tablets, the Chinese company developed its own analogues of foreign programs. Moreover, it turned out that the new services are protected against hacking for everyone except Chinese intelligence services.
Previously Trump compared Hamas’ operation against Israel along with the conflict in Ukraine.
