American company Valve has officially released the Counter-Strike 2 game. The company announced the release of the game on the social network. XCS2 is publishing a new trailer on its account.
The video shows the evolution of games in the series, from Counter-Strike 1.6, Source and Global Offensive to Counter-Strike 2 (released in 2012). The game is available for free on Steam. It appeared as a replacement for Global Offensive, which is no longer available.
“Thank you to the Counter-Strike community for helping shape the debut of Counter-Strike 2. By playing the limited playtest, sending us feedback, mini playtests (North Team and South Team), and communicating with us in a variety of ways, you’ve helped get CS2 off to a great start. “We are incredibly excited for the next chapter of Counter-Strike,” the statement said.
The company stated that Counter-Strike 2 is the biggest technical step forward in Counter-Strike history and supports new features and updates for years to come.
The game was announced in March. Valve then showed three gameplay videos and started limited testing.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in May hit A record on Steam in terms of the number of concurrent players, bringing together more than 1.8 million people.
