American video blogger ChrisDaCow taught a pygmy chimpanzee named Kanzi how to play the popular video game Minecraft. About the process and outcome of learning a monkey creator said in my new video
According to ChrisDaCow, Kanzi started learning Minecraft while participating in another experiment aimed at teaching monkeys a language that humans can understand. The researchers introduced Kanzi to the blogger as a genius among chimpanzees whose intellectual abilities correspond to those of a human child between the ages of two and three.
Kanzi learned to play Minecraft on a touchscreen device. He can now navigate the map and interact with various terrain blocks while selecting the appropriate dig for the soil type. As part of the exam, the chimpanzee crossed an obstacle course on a map created by a blogger and made it to the End, the final episode of Minecraft.
ChrisDaCow explained that Kanzi learns through positive reinforcement, meaning that the animal receives a reward for each correct action. At the bottom of the video about Kanzi, the blogger added a link to collect food for the animal – for every penny, the chimpanzee will get a nut.
