Tecno Spark 8C smartphone took second place and Xiaomi Redmi 9A took third place. The top 5 also includes Realme C55 and Realme C30S. All smartphones, with the exception of Realme C55, are in the price category up to 10 thousand rubles.
Among the brands, Xiaomi was the market leader in the second quarter of 2023. The share of this brand on a piece basis accounted for 28% of all sales. Realme is in second place with a score of 14%. The first three closed the Tecno brand with a share of 12%. For comparison: A year ago, the top 3 were Xiaomi (35%), Samsung (18%) and Realme (12.7%).
According to MTS, 6.6 million smartphones were sold in Russia from April to June 2023, with a total value of 135.6 billion rubles. This is 1.5 times more in kind and 32% more in monetary terms than a year ago. MTS believes the growth was due to the rapid recovery of the market after the events of February 2022.
