Realme has stopped selling its smartphones in a European country 11:34

The Realme brand will soon cease operations in Germany, but will remain in the rest of Europe. In this respect informs The publication GaGadget refers to information received from a Realme representative.

Realme was forced to withdraw from Germany due to a patent dispute between Chinese parent company BBK Electronics and Nokia. In 2022, the Finnish brand accused the Chinese tech giant of violating its rights to use signal processing technologies on 4G and 5G cellular bands. For this, Nokia charged “unreasonably high fees,” according to Oppo.

Previously, other BBK Electronics brands such as OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo had already left the German market for the same reason. Due to the conflict with Nokia, the listed companies are not able to sell in Germany not only smartphones, but also other types of electronics.

Realme noted that the company’s departure from Germany will not affect the operation and maintenance of German users’ equipment.
