“On Sunday, May 28, I will auction off everything I own and start living again. Including my golden YouTube button. All proceeds from the auction will go to Make-A-Wish,” he wrote.
The blogger plans to sell, among other things, a figure of the character Nami from the One Piece anime, several Pokemon cards, and a life-size wax statue of Jackie Chan for $16,000.
According to Ludwig, the products are planned to be sold to fans who want to support the charity event. The streamer disclosed that he does not personally use items for sale.
“After I became a publisher, I started collecting very different things. I let chat members help spend my money on buying different things, and eventually I buy a lot of things thanks to them,” the blogger explained.
The golden button is YouTube’s way of rewarding bloggers with a large number of subscribers. A similar award in April accepted Russian blogger and designer Artemy Lebedev, although his channel was deleted by the video hosting management.
