According to this report analytics service StatCounter, in March 2023, Windows 11’s share among Microsoft’s other OS versions reached 21%. This means that the latest Windows has reached one out of every five PC users in the world, excluding Apple computers.
The StatCounter infographic also shows that Microsoft’s most popular operating system is Windows 10, with 73.5% of PC owners using Windows 10 today. In third place is Windows 7, whose share fell from 5.3% to 3.7% during the month.
Windows 8.1 and Windows XP, completing the top 5. They make up 0.8% and 0.4% of PC users, respectively.
Leading the way in terms of audience growth dynamics, Windows 11 increased its share by almost 13% from March 2022 to March 2023. At the same time, the audience for the most popular Windows 10 of the year, on the contrary, dropped by almost 1%.
