Repair times for PlayStation consoles in Russia have increased significantly. It was reported by the newspaper “News“. If you turn to an authorized service center for assistance, you will have to wait at least two months for repair.
“Everything depends on the availability of spare parts. If there are no parts, the delivery time is not determined. In general, people can wait two months or more, ”said a representative of the company IRP, the only authorized PlayStation service center in Russia.
Problems with the supply of spare parts for the console were also confirmed at one of the major IT distributors. This is because of the complex logistics for the delivery of parts. According to Denis Kuskov, CEO of the Telecom Daily agency, there is currently no stock of components and spare consoles in service centers as before. Companies now expect a specific user to request a repair before ordering the right part from abroad.
It is stated that you can apply not only to the authorized service, but also to a “gray” company that promises to repair the device on the day of the call. However, the functionality of such services is not very large – they can only do a limited number of jobs, for example, repair the power supply. If the problem is more complex, the mechanic will need access to special equipment that the “gray” companies do not have.
