South Korean company Samsung has added a 200-megapixel main camera to its Galaxy S series flagship smartphones for the first time, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra became the first owner of the new sensor. The seller announced this at the live-streamed Galaxy Unpacked event. YouTube.
It is also stated that the main device in the flagship line is getting a modified Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm. The device has S Pen support for the included stylus. The accessory is stored in a special cell in the smartphone case, as in the Galaxy Note series.
The gadget received a 6.8-inch QHD + display with a frequency of 120 Hz and an enhanced maximum brightness. The screen is slightly curved, but noticeably flatter compared to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Its main difference from other smartphones of the series and its predecessor is the 200-megapixel main camera. Samsung assured that the sensor “uses pixel binning to create sharper and brighter photos after processing.”
The main unit also has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and two 10-megapixel sensors with telephoto lenses with 3x and 10x zoom.
It is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 45 W wired charging and fast wireless charging. The price of the Galaxy S23 Ultra starts at $ 1199 (about 83.6 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate). The exact prices of devices in Russia are still unknown.
