Leading game publications have published their reviews of the updated version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game has an average score of 97 on Metacritic. informs DTF Portal.
Almost all critics gave the next-gen version of The Witcher the highest possible score – 5 out of 5, 9 out of 9 and 9.5 out of 10. For example, the VGC reporter admitted that he was initially skeptical about the updated version of the game, because the changes listed by the developers did not affect him much. But the game immediately captivated him, just as it did a few years ago.
According to journalists, significant changes should not be expected from the updated The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, since the main focus of the game is to improve the details of objects or lighting. It seems that most of the fixes are minor and they may seem insignificant individually, but the game has been updated in the framework of a major patch.
Experts also noted that the next generation version of The Witcher 3 may freeze in Quality mode, while in Performance mode it shows a much more stable image at 60 FPS, even in dynamic scenes.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on December 14. Players who own the original game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version for free.
