The cinematic trailer for the fourth episode of Fortnite featured popular blogger MrBeast, Geralt from the Witcher series, Doomguy from Doom and many more.
The fourth chapter states that players will have access to an updated map with new locations, including an ancient tower, a castle, and a medieval town. Fortnite will also add motorcycles, a massive snow boulder to crush enemies, an energy hammer, a reflex assault rifle, and a dual-load submachine gun.
At the same time, Epic Games talked about active and passive perks and updated mechanics of overcoming obstacles.
The developers also announced the game’s transition from Unreal Engine 5 to version 5.1 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Thanks to the updated engine, they promise a more detailed picture with the introduction of Nanite technology.
Epic Games has already started rolling out the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Update across all platforms.
