The main reason for the lack of demand for the RTX 4080 is its cost – the video card went on sale at a price of $ 1.2 thousand (about 72.4 thousand rubles). According to journalists, instead of choosing a new product, users expect a cheaper model or immediately buy the flagship RTX 4090.
Therefore, most Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards are comparable in price to RTX 4090 Founders Edition models. For example, the Asus RTX 4080 ROG Srix and TUF Gaming graphics cards cost $1,500 and $1,550 respectively. Given that the RTX 4090 is 30-40% faster than the RTX 4080, users are ready to overpay for the older model.
