The Valencia Community Football Federation FFCV faced a formal dispute when Crevillente Deportivo lodged an appeal regarding classification in the Third Section. The Crevillente club argues that Crevillente Deportivo should be considered part of its own structure in alignment with circular number nine issued by the federation itself.

As noted earlier, Crevillente claimed that the document in question states that after the completion of all rounds and the promotions that were planned, if vacancies arise in the sixth group of the Third Division, those vacancies would be filled by the top team from the five Regular League groups. In that scenario, teams would not be promoted in the second phase, the promotion playoff to the Third RFEF, if vacancies did not exist.

Following official receipt of Crevillente Deportivo’s appeal, the FFCV initiated a formal investigation, a process that can span a significant period. Spaniard Jove Español de San Vicente, who faced potential relegation to the sixth group of the Third Division, reported that the federation had assured him there would be a third team included. The San Vicente del Raspeig club stated in its publication that teams participating in the Third Division Group Six for the 2021-2022 season had been informed by the federation about promotions and relegations in accordance with the competition bases set in circular number 98 of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and circular number nine of the FFCV. On a competitive basis, FC Jove Español de San Vicente would compete in the Sixth Group of the Third Division for the 2022-2023 season, which corresponds to the third tier of the national league system.

Crevillente Deportivo announced that the FFCV had responded to the appeal filed by the club on June 9, 2022. The Crevillentino club stated that the federation had transferred their articles to a third party, with the expectation that a third party would be involved, specifically Jove Español, to present any claims deemed necessary. The club noted that the process would continue and that the deadline would expire before 4:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022.

Crevillente emphasized that its actions were conducted in the best interests of the club and its supporters, and not to harm any third party. The club also acknowledged the time required by this procedural framework and stressed that the club was only beginning its efforts. Crevillente concluded by reaffirming its commitment to its fans and to the club, while maintaining a respectful stance toward the competitive landscape and the interests of its peers in the league.
