The off-season has ended for Seville. Last Saturday, July 8, the Europa League champions returned to action with the required medical checks. Early in the morning, the first team players assembled with youngsters from the academy who will participate in the pre-season as they begin a new season.
Mendilíbar’s Sevilla closed the previous campaign on a high note but faced a challenging year ahead. The objective this season is clear: raise league performance and build a more competitive squad. To achieve this, the club has brought in Víctor Orta, a notable addition this summer, after the Monchi era created a seismic shift at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

Seville 2023 pre-season: acquisitions and squad
Sevilla has exercised the purchase option to retain Bade, who impressed while on loan in the previous campaign. In addition, the club has announced the signings of Federico Gattoni and Adriana Pedrosa, who joined after their contractual terms with Espanyol came to an end.
The squad selection for Sevilla remains fluid. There are several departures anticipated, prompting Víctor Orta to accelerate plans for freeing space in the squad. Depending on how those adjustments unfold, new signings will be pursued to finalize a squad capable of meeting the high expectations for a season that promises to be particularly demanding.
