Seventh edition of the CTB Cross Duathlon, known as the Ciudad de Elche, is set to bring together a crowd of enthusiasts this Saturday, November 19. The organizers anticipate more than 300 participants, a figure confirmed on Monday by the event committee and venue coordinators.
At the heart of the day, the Elche City Council’s Sports Council Member, José Navarro, alongside Manuel Baeza, president of the Elche Triathlon Club, presented the competition details. The start and finish lines will be located on Paseo de la Estación, adjacent to the Municipal Park, with Palm Grove declared a UNESCO World Heritage site that adds an extra layer of cultural significance to the event.
The race day kicks off at 10:00 AM. The course unfolds in three demanding stages: a 5-kilometer run to begin, followed by a 20-kilometer cycling segment that winds along the slopes of the Municipal River, through the Municipal Park, past the Reservoir, and up the traditional climb to CAU. The final leg covers three kilometers through the historic center of Elche, challenging athletes and offering spectators a compelling urban scenic route.
