There is a preference for the semifinals to take place on Saturday the 9th, but River Plate is concerned about scheduling on that date. It marks the fifth anniversary of the Madrid final and a special documentary premiere at Movistar Arena that involves several members tied to the famous match, including players who were part of the trophy run and its enduring memories.
Alternatively, Friday the 8th is a potential window, a national holiday in Argentina for the Day of the Immaculate Conception. It would be the only feasible date in the calendar, though both Canalla and River would have only three days to prepare for the semifinal clash.
Venue considerations add another layer of challenge. The preferred locations include the Estadio Padre Martearena in Salta, where Rosario Central earned a win in a past campaign, and the Estadio Mario Kempes in Cordoba, where River Plate secured a victory previously. The latter site offers the larger capacity, which could be decisive given the anticipated fan turnout on both sides.
