Women’s Champions League group stage draw 2023-2024: dates, format, qualified teams, seedings, and pots

The draw for the Women’s Champions League group stage in 2023-2024 will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023 in Nyon, beginning around 1:00 PM local time in Spain.

For the draw, the 16 clubs in the group stage are divided into four pots of four teams each.

The first pot includes Barcelona as the seeded team and the national champions of the three top-ranked federations in the entry list (France, Germany, and Spain). Because the defending champion is also the national champion of one of those federations, the group is supplemented by the champion of the federation ranked fourth on the entry list (England), bringing Chelsea into the Barcelona group, alongside Lyon and Bayern.

The remaining three groups contain the twelve Round 2 winners. Four teams from each pot are placed into groups according to their club coefficient rankings at the start of the season.

Four groups of four teams will be formed, with one team from each pot in every group, based on matchups and status. Clubs from the same federation are not allowed to face each other in the same group. Additional restrictions and the full procedure will be confirmed before the draw ceremony.

The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.
