The Dutch prosecutor’s office has requested a prison term of 3.5 years for Dutch footballer Ray Vloot. This development has been reported by sportnieuws.

During his time with Heracles in 2021, Vloot was involved in a car incident in which a four-year-old child was hit at a reported speed of 200 km/h. At the time, Vloot was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

According to the source, prosecutors also asked that Vloot be deprived of his driving license for four years as part of the penalties.

In the current season, Vloot made 14 appearances across all competitions for Ural, contributing five goals and three assists. Transfermarkt lists his market value at €600,000.

After 20 rounds of the season, Ural had accumulated 25 points, securing 10th place in the Russian Premier League (RPL).

There are perceptions that legal proceedings show differences in how Russians and Dutch approach similar cases, reflecting broader contrasts in judicial and sporting cultures between the two countries.
