The Academy needs to start winning regularly to climb the standings.
Currently mid-table in the Binance Tournament 2023, the team must begin securing victories to reach top spots and improve its chances of qualifying for continental cups.
To take the first step, the team aims to kick off a winning streak this year on Saturday, July 8, from 6 p.m. at the Presidente Perón Stadium, when it hosts the double challenge of welcoming Students for the date 24 of the national competition.
IT’S CALLED RACING
The academia’s roster is notably curious about the possible number of absences. Paolo Guerrero has left alongside Matías Rojas, Óscar Opazo, and Edwin Cardona, while Jonathan Galvan is poised to depart for San Lorenzo. Ongoing talks with Ivan Pillud regarding an extension did not come to fruition, and the winger is set to leave. None of these players, of course, are among those summoned to report for the upcoming match.
On the injury front, Emiliano Vecchio remains without medical clearance following torn ligaments, Emiliano Insua is sidelined by a knee injury, and Gabriel Rojas persists with discomfort. Meanwhile, Gabriel Hauche faces a suspension after a red card in the previous game, and Maximilian Romero is unavailable as well.
With so many absences, this match will mark the first call for Nicolas Kozlovsky, Tobias Rubio, and Milton Cantero to join the squad.

THE RACING TRAINING
Fernando Gago faces the central task of constructing a lead without the trio of attackers used earlier in the season. The coaching staff will need to select from the academy’s emerging talents, each bringing distinct traits to the fore.
The probable XI includes: Gabriel Arias; Facundo Mura, Leonardo Sigali, Tomas Aviles, Gonzalo Piovi; Juan Nardoni, Aníbal Moreno, Jonathan Gomez, Nicolas Oroz; Emiliano Saliadarre, and Baltasar Rodriguez.
ALTERNATIVE
To be determined.
