Dynamo Moscow shared a photo of Alexander Mostovoy, the former footballer who is currently interning with the club, depicted in the disguise of a famous movie character. The post noted that Alexander Vladimirovich is changing his profession, and a well known king is shown as another king. The club’s official Telegram channel asked followers if they liked the resemblance.
In early June 2023 the Russian Football Union announced that Mostovoy had submitted documents to obtain a UEFA coaching license through the RFU Academy. On September 30 he stated that he would intern at Spartak in October 2024, but those plans did not come to fruition.
Mostovoy is a two time Soviet Union champion with Spartak, winning titles in 1987 and 1989. He played 142 matches for the red and whites from 1987 to 1992. His career also took him to Benfica in Portugal, Strasbourg and Caen in France, and Celta and Alaves in Spain. He earned cup successes with Celta and Benfica in his European stints.
Earlier Mostovoy spoke about the first day of the internship at Dynamo Moscow, describing it as a new chapter in his career and noting the opportunity to learn from the club’s staff and players.
