Moscow Region Horse Rebus Linked to Two Rider Injuries Over Two Days

In the Moscow region, a horse named Rebus has reportedly caused injuries to two riders on consecutive days at a competition event.

Reports from the Baza Telegram channel indicate that during the Maxima Masters contest, Rebus struck the leg of a passing rider with its hoof, resulting in a leg fracture for the young participant. The injured rider was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The horse’s owner described Rebus as not having a violent temperament. A distinctive red warning band tied to the horse’s tail is said to signal that the animal can kick, a feature that may have been overlooked by the riders involved.

On the following day, the same horse reportedly injured another rider who did not notice or react to the warning band. Under the competition regulations in place, horses are not held legally responsible for collisions or bumps with spectators, allowing Rebus to continue in the event.

Separately, there were reports involving unrelated public figures in different contexts. A noted youth cycling world champion, Antonio Tiberi, faced a fine of 4000 euros in connection with a separate incident reported by various outlets.

In another unrelated case, Corriere della Sera cited an Italian individual who admitted to shooting a cat with an air rifle after acquiring it. This sequence of incidents has raised questions about safety and animal welfare at public events and in personal conduct contexts. (Citation: Baza Telegram channel; Corriere della Sera)
