The KT-Pocket team has shared the first concrete details about its upcoming retro handheld, the KT-R2. The device is framed as a modern throwback, blending familiar design cues with current hardware ambitions. While early teasers outlined the concept, no photos or video footage of the final model have appeared yet, leaving fans to imagine the screen, controls, and overall silhouette.
A central signal in the rollout is the processor plan. The KT-R2 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but only if the crowdfunding campaign reaches its target. If demand remains modest, KT-Pocket intends to equip the console with a Dimensity 1100 chip. This funding-driven approach mirrors how hardware projects often scale performance with backing levels.
The KT-R2 is offered in eight different colors, a spectrum that ranges from classic black and white to bold options such as yellow, pink, green, red, gray and purple. Buyers can also choose from three body materials—the durable plastic, the lighter aluminum alloy, and the sturdy magnesium alloy—each delivering a distinct feel, weight, and tactile experience.
There will also be different spec options: 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. There will be support for Wi-Fi and 4G.

The crowdfunding campaign will run until December, after which KT-Pocket will have approximately three months to submit technical samples of the console.
