Krasnodar defender Vitor Tormena acknowledged that the growing schedule and long trips across Russia were starting to wear on him. His reflections appear in his own book, as reported by a telegram channel journalist named Fabio Aleixo.
“How much does the travel affect the team? It’s a real challenge. I won’t sugarcoat it. The airport is currently closed, which makes some journeys exhausting. It took us 11 hours to get to Moscow, and we arrived already tired. The heavy load of games and travel is becoming a source of irritation, but we try not to dwell on it. Everyone has their own viewpoint. I believe it’s tough,” Tormena stated.
Since arriving from Braga in Portugal in August 2023 on a four-year deal, Tormena has featured in seven Russian Premier League matches this season, contributing to Krasnodar’s defense.
On October 29, Krasnodar suffered a 0-1 defeat to CSKA, with Fedor Chalov scoring the decisive goal. It marked Krasnodar’s first loss of the season, a setback that left the team aiming to bounce back in the following fixtures.
After 13 rounds in the Russian Premier League, Vladimir Ivich’s squad sat on 28 points and led the table, underscoring their strong start to the campaign.
Earlier, comments from Mostovoy touched on the visible tremors among Krasnodar players, noting how nerves and fatigue can influence performances on the pitch. (Krasnodar press service attribution)
