Belgian football star Kevin De Bruyne, a key midfielder for Manchester City, reportedly ordered a collection of platinum iPhones for club representatives. The information emerged from a Daily Mail report.

According to the report, De Bruyne arranged for platinum iPhone 14 devices to be given to his teammates in recognition of Manchester Citys three trophies in the 2022/23 season. In total, 26 iPhones were commissioned, with a design crafted by the iDesign Gold brand. Each device was priced at about £5,000.

The gesture extended to the clubs leadership as well, with Pep Guardiola, the team coach, and Sheikh Mansour, the club owner, receiving engraved iPhones bearing the Manchester City crest. The engravings included the recipients names and the club emblem on every phone.

On 11 August, Manchester City opened the new English Premier League campaign with a victory over Burnley, finishing 3 goals to none. The scorers were Erling Haaland with a brace and Rodri. De Bruyne left the pitch due to an injury before halftime and was substituted.

During the 2022/23 season Manchester City achieved a historic treble, securing three major trophies in a single campaign. The club clinched the Premier League title, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League honor in that period.

In a separate competition, Manchester City also faced Arsenal in the FA Super Cup, a match the club did not win, according to historical summaries of the season’s results.
